When I took over as Sheriff, I have worked to improve the pay and benefits of the deputies that work for me. We've definitely made strides in the right direction, but there's still more work to do! With a staff that's well cared for, the quality of the work they do improves as well. It also allows us to attract and retain staff that care about the place they live. I have found a way to provide retirement to my deputies, but I also want to make sure they have access to healthcare - an important benefit in today's work environment. I also want to continue to stay competitive with pay. As costs go up for families at home, I want to make sure my staff is supported and cared for by working hard for Addison County.
